| Form | Lyophilized To keep the original salt concentration, we recommend reconstituting to the original concentration prior to lyophilization (see Concentration) in ddH2O. If a lower concentration is required, dilute in 10 mM PBS, pH 7.4. If a higher concentration is required, the product can be reconstituted directly in 10 mM PBS, pH 7.4, though please note that this will change the overall salt concentration. The stock concentration should be between 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex. |

GST-Tag Antibody
GST-Tag Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody against GST-Tag. Plasmid vectors for the expression of coding regions of eukaryotic genes in E.coli are in common usage; such expression vectors often encode hybrid fusion proteins containing part prokaryotic and part eukaryotic specified proteins. Forinstance, the pGEX.3X expression vector developed by Smith and Johnson allows for synthesis of fusion proteins between glutathionine-S-transferase(GST) and proteins encoded by inserted cDNA sequences. Antibodies derived from these GST fusion proteins are useful for checking protein expression bothin plaques and on Western blots as well as for immunoaffinity purification of proteins expressed in E. Coli.

Glutathione S-Transferase (GST) Antibody
Epitope tagging offers an easy and universal strategy for the identification and purification of proteins derived by recombinant DNA technology.Expression vectors with Glutathione S-transferase (GST) tag have beed developed widely for both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems, because GST can provides both an easily detectable Tag and a simple purification process with little effect on the biological function of the protein encoded by inserted cDNA sequences.Antibodies of Anti-GST tag are useful for checking protein expression using immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation and immunostaining techniques, as well as for immunoaffinity purification of protein expressed in vitro.
