| Note | THIS PRODUCT IS FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY. NOT FOR USE IN DIAGNOSTIC OR THERAPEUTIC PROCEDURES. The range and sensitivity is subject to change. Please contact us for the latest product information. For accurate results, sample concentrations must be diluted to mid-range of the kit. If you require a specific range, please contact us in advance or write your request in your order comments. Please note that our kits are optimised for detection of native samples, rather than recombinant proteins. We are unable to guarantee detection of recombinant proteins, as they may have different sequences or tertiary structures to the native protein. The stability of the kit is determined by the rate of activity loss. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage conditions. To minimize performance fluctuations, operation procedures and lab conditions should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same user throughout. |
Descripción
Interleukin 2 receptor subunit alpha (IL2RA), also known as CD25, is a crucial component of the high-affinity interleukin-2 (IL-2) receptor complex, which is essential for regulating immune responses, particularly T-cell proliferation and survival. The IL-2 receptor plays a pivotal role in both adaptive immunity and immune tolerance, with IL2RA being one of the three subunits that form the IL-2 receptor complex. The IL-2 receptor system is critically involved in the regulation of T-cell homeostasis, immune activation, and the suppression of autoimmunity. IL2RA is primarily expressed on activated T cells, particularly regulatory T cells (Tregs), which are crucial for maintaining immune tolerance. It is also found on other immune cells, including activated B cells, dendritic cells, and natural killer (NK) cells under certain conditions. Importantly, IL2RA expression is tightly regulated, being upregulated upon T-cell activation and playing a central role in fine-tuning immune responses.

IL2RA antibody
The interleukin 2 (IL2) receptor alpha (IL2RA) and beta (IL2RB) chains, together with the common gamma chain (IL2RG), constitute the high-affinity IL2 receptor. Homodimeric alpha chains (IL2RA) result in low-affinity receptor, while homodimeric beta (IL2RB) chains produce a medium-affinity receptor. Normally an integral-membrane protein, soluble IL2RA has been isolated and determined to result from extracellular proteolyisis. Alternately-spliced IL2RA mRNAs have been isolated, but the significance of each is presently unknown. Mutations in this gene are associated with interleukin 2 receptor alpha deficiency.
