LRRC47 is a protein involved in cytoskeletal regulation and intracellular transport expressed in various tissues including neurons and epithelial cells studies suggest it plays a role in stabilizing microtubule structures and mediating interactions with motor proteins involved in vesicular trafficking LRRC47 has also been implicated in maintaining the integrity of the cytoskeleton during cellular stress and remodeling processes its expression is upregulated during tissue repair and regeneration suggesting a role in wound healing and cell migration bioinformatics analyses indicate potential interactions with signaling pathways that regulate cytoskeletal dynamics and intracellular transport although its exact molecular mechanisms remain unclear ongoing research focuses on its involvement in neurodegenerative diseases and cancer where cytoskeletal dysregulation is a hallmark further investigation is needed to understand its therapeutic potential in disorders involving cytoskeletal instability
