Descripción
ANKRD33 is a protein containing multiple ankyrin repeat domains, which facilitate protein-protein interactions in various cellular processes, including signal transduction, transcriptional regulation, and cellular scaffolding. ANKRD33 is believed to play roles in nuclear regulation, particularly in modulating chromatin organization and transcription factor activity. While its precise biological functions remain under investigation, it has been suggested that ANKRD33 may contribute to cell cycle regulation and DNA damage repair pathways. Its expression patterns suggest involvement in developmental processes and cellular stress responses. Dysregulation of ANKRD33 expression may be implicated in diseases such as cancer, where altered signaling and chromatin dynamics play significant roles.
