Description
Acetylcholinesterase Assay Kit is an assay kit designed for the detection and quantification of Acetylcholinesterase activity in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and cell lysates using a microplate reader. AchE catalyzes the hydrolysis of acetylcholine to form choline, which reacts with dithio-p-nitrobenzoic acid (DTNB) to form 5-mercapto-nitrobenzoic acid (TNB). TNB has an absorption peak at 412 nm. The activity of AchE can be calculated by measuring the increasing rate of absorbance at 412nm.
